I never see anyone that's just spot on Ivy. Ever. Like I've said before, I may see someone with a 3/2 patch pocket sack, but once I see that they're wearing it with torn jeans and a chain wallet, it's obvious that the sack jacket was mere happenstance. Then there's the more fashionable young guys that do the preppy / classic thing with an "edge". Kind of the Sid Mashburn set - slim high water chinos or jeans with monk straps and no socks, tie just perfectly undone, surcingle belt, but then a darted 2 button blazer. More often I see a guy that will be doing the Americana thing pretty well - LVC 501s with turn ups, maybe Red Wings, a white T or a work type shirt in chambray or something. Probably has a mustache and greased hair. I may think this guy looks damn cool though.

You can't fault those Mashburn pants though, they really look great. I just can't bring myself to chance it online. Have you got any WM? are they true to size in the waist?

I have been seeing some good looking young black guys lately, with an obvious ear to the street in terms of decent clothes. Good hair cuts too. They may have on a nice tailored suit and good shoes. Retro glasses. They like the bow ties though.

No. Of course not. It's not costume. I'm just poking fun at myself.
And I didn't feel the need or desire, it was just an obvious "sizing up" I experienced. Can't you tell when people stare at you and repeatedly glance at you? I was right behind them. I mean sizing up as in being looked over. Glancing at my shoes, looking at my face, looking at my shirt, looking at my shoes, looking at my pants.

I was behind them. I couldn't really help seeing what they were wearing. I wasn't staring, I just took note, and that's mainly after they made their presence really obvious by giving me LOTS of attention that I just lapped up. It's just rude to gawk. I could understand if I indeed had a mohawk or was talking to myself.

I will say this too. In the US you can't make any assumptions based on appearances, so I shouldn't have been so quick to say that they had any money at all. They could just have a mountain of debt.
Nor will I be so naive to state that I don't seek any sort of attention. Foremost, I wear what I want and what I like. I also like subtle subversion. And I post pictures of myself on here. So there's that. Not to mention, I'm a drummer for Christ's sake.
