Same seller as the tweed sack I snatched this morning:

^ It's killer, if it were a size or two smaller I'd have grabbed it too.
Great looking jacket, stupid price:

I say: if you find someone who does things well then pay what they ask. I have tried at least 2 local alterations places that have messed things up, so (within reason) I pay whatever it costs for someone decent.

Agreed. It can't be a remunerative or especially pleasant job and it's easy to fall for a botch-merchant. DIY or cough up!
That's a bit too Liberace even for me, Tom!
hahaha - I really like the fabric, but think it would be better as a shirt - maybe a popover, Jivey Ivy.
It even says LILLY all over it in cursive writing, haha... nothing subtle about that!
I'm watching a really bang up jacket on eBay right now at only $9.99 but there's 6 days left and a But It Now just shy of $30... I should really just click the BIN and save myself the heartache but the cheapskate in me can't pass up the prospect of scoring it for a sawbuck! What to do?!?
^
I'm onto it. I'm hovering over the BIN button right now!!
It's too big for you man!!

I liked how the BIN would disappear on eBay years ago when someone placed a bid.
It was comforting.

Saw that one too. Even though I would never wear it I think it looks kind of cool.

I can imagine it looking pretty nice with this: http://www.etsy.com/se-en/listing/119609734/vintage-60s-mod-button-up-shirt-mcgregor?ref=sr_gallery_13&ga_search_query=60%27s+15&ga_order=date_desc&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_page=0&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=vintage%2Fclothing%2Fmen
Hehe..
Figured I wasn't the only one to uncover it... the $10 price tag was a hard bargain to pass, but I ended up forking over $23 BIN total for piece of mind. I think it'd look dead cool with a plain white Brooks Makers, Levis and Hush Puppies... or possibly as an odd jacket with a cotton roosterknit and moleskins. Looks like it can work equally well as outerwear over a casual ocbd or Viyella button down, or in place of a cord sack for that seasonal campus look c.'65.
