Purely because this thread is collecting hits (It had about 17 when I pulled the subject) I'll say that G9 fans have every reason to be cheerful as something wonderful is going to happen in the world of 'Harringtons' very soon.

'Harringtons' used to be called 'Rodneys' after that guy with the long face from 'Only Fools & Horses'. He was never seen wearing a G9 and so people who didn't want to look like him started wearing them.

I`ve allways loved harrington jackets.
I well remember seeing some of the ska bands wearing them on totp, and was determined to have one for myself.In the easter hols, I collected together my Christmas money and birthday money, and set off to buy one -couldn`t afford the barracutta so bought a knock off at the market-(nice shiny viscose lining ).
So thinking I was somewhat of a rebel- I returned to school with trunk and harrington knockoff over uniform- to be greeted by the headmaster in his gown at the north entrance( despite my reputation that is not a euphimism) who admired it and commented I looked very dapper in my golfing jacket.
At the time I felt crushed that my percieved rebelliousness, was in fact no such thing.
