Truly though, got a bunch of great black oxford captoes, but seriously considering a bespoke version to top it off. Will be looking at a bespoke version in 4 weeks and either go a lazyman shoe or a black oxford captoe. Will probably go the lazyman this time and might do a captoe down the track some time. A nice medium brown captoe derby is also high on the list too...double sole slightly tapered at waist and close cut and bevelled, John Lobb London did an amazing version once for someone that l have pics of. After those four or five bespoke l won't need anything else, but l still wouldn't mind a nice heavily antiqued green calf shoo by St Crispins or something to top it off....been wanting green for many years, but needs to be the right shade and right antiquing so it rings all the right bells.
These types of decisions keeps a man awake at night.
Those Japanese cordwainers are really incredible makers. If l had my way l would probably choose a Japanese or French maker.
Check out his shoos here. Oh wow, just stunning!!! I can't believe my eyes.

The Japanese shoemakers are so far ahead of the UK makers it's not even a contest.
