Yes Woof I see it too. There is still a lot of the good stuff around mind... but even then the chances of getting a bargain are slim. Even getting something for a fair price is hard actually.

Re: The Green OCBD

My last ten shirts, (apart from the bean) have all been under £15, some low as £1.50, yes they're not all my size, but pretty much all 15 to 16.5, which is a common enough size for people on here. Sometimes it's good to take a chance, go off the beaten track, and maybe find a maker that you didn't know about, the 80's Yale co-op shirts with lined collars are very nice.

I would agree with the points with regards makers.
Espacially in a big boy size hard to come by and i get the feeling
they are not an  untrendy old fashioned item anymore.

Re: The Green OCBD

Bringing this back up since it's been a long fascination of mine. However I'm yet to find a green ox either in my size or a colour I really like. Looked at Harry Stedman, but already got 3 shirts with Press pockets and fleabay and etsy haven't brought me any luck. It's a shame that I never had a chance to interact with Liam Mac, since it seems he was a good lad.

/\   really like that shirt Ollie, we love Sears, Roebuck & Co. 100% cotton, respect again!  you don't see too many like that and I've actually not seen those stripes before but they're as beachy as hell.

Re: The Green OCBD

The only thing that kinda worries me is that it appears to be a 5 button placket which I've never seen before and it looks like it could be a shorter length as it's cut straight across the bottom without any tail shape at the hem... does 27" from the bottom of the back collar sound kosher for a size 15? That seems like it should have an extra inch or two in the tail but I'm sure I can make it work.

Re: The Green OCBD

Since it has a straight hem, I'd dress that thing down and wear it untucked with sleeves rolled up and some khakis or poplin pants or even shorts.

Re: The Green OCBD

Sleeves rolled sounds fine but I don't think I could ever wear a button down untucked unless it's paired with bermuda shorts... that would just feel so wrong to me. I'm sure I can get this shirt to stay put though!

Re: The Green OCBD

You could just unclip your sock garters from your socks and stretch them up and just attach them to the hem of the shirt.

Re: The Green OCBD

TK Maxx in UK are selling two light green OCBDs by Ralph Lauren at the moment, an apple shade (Miles Davis alike) and a mint.  I picked up two in apple.  The apple shade don't have chest logos, the Minton's does and are by collar size.  Very nice for the price.  They also have an RL green Bengal stripe one too.
