Wasn't Dang Bum village the site of a notorious massacre during the Vietnam war?
Yeah. It was a giant fire ant colony. The Vietcong poured gallons of gasoline in it and torched it, killing millions of hardworking ants.

Outstanding work in the straw and palm frond hat field, Thomas ....
A plethora of these hats are all over my house, some are ancient and might only have a couple of wears left in them but I leave them hanging on a wall
Got a uke too somewhere
Have had a few ukes over the years and a tiple too
Bottom pic has the grooviest palm frond hat like ones I've bought in the Bahamas and the Keys
Who is the large surfer in the second pic with the tiny hat atop the humongous melon?
Is it Greg Noll?
/\ agree WM, though it was Tommy who posted them although I might have posted the one of your doppelganger in the Tropical Ivy thread ....
However, I'm fixing to be the guy swigging the giant bottle of rum in your shot
Which reminds me to pick up a bottle of rum today ....
Because it's officially Christmas break and I've handed in my paper
Der! Great pics TOMMY!!! Must have been the rum talking, because I recently polished off some rum. I was putting it in some New England old fashioned egg nog, but then the rest of the bottle seemed to just go straight down my gullet over 4 or 5 LPs.
I think I really just thought those pics were a continuation of your Moon/Stoner post.
I have been known to mix a rum drink or two in my time
So psyched, it might be cool here tomorrow so I can actually get my West Coast surf freak Zuma look on
It's really just old Birdwell, t-shirt, and sweatshirt
With my crucial large go-cup of hot tea the cool air and water are delightful
This is where some Thermos expertise could come in handy
I want a good one, what should I get?
Want them, and thanks for the intel WM

Remember to pre-heat with boiling water for best results.
