I always think of Fish as the precursor of the worse elements of the 70's, but I recognize his key role in bringing the flamboyant peacock into the late 60's and 70's. But I suppose that level of daring and extremes was necessary to free ourselves from the utter conformity of the era before it.

As for Fish, he may have influenced the Seventies, but only peripherally. His look was pure Chelsea Set...along with Blades and various Kings Road boutiques..
