Heppy, do you have a good recommendation for a Leica digicam? Used to shoot on Rolleiflex and Mamiya before, but gave up ten years ago. Fancy a cute&handsome (=metal) Leica digi, but for travelling only, so sub 1000 EUR if possible. Ideas?
Thanks & also thanks again for JWR.
Oh, and I dont mind buying preowned. Needs to be good looking but small-ish.

I would get yourself down to The Classic Camera:

Not really up there on the current Leica digital cameras. But I do like the idea behind the Leica Monochrom, if not the price.
There's a couple of decent looking and smallish classic rangefinder with the metal styling style from the other main makers around, again haven't really got the knowledge of them I am afraid, but worth checking them out.
Kool.
Likely I gonna get this one

Monochrom is nice but too much effort. At least for my capabilities, i am more a point and shoot guy.
Oh, and when it comes to photography, too
Effectively digital has made point and shoot the only way to go.
All that effort and ungainly equipment for something that can now be replicated on a telephone. Same with digital film, they're using SLR's now to make commercials.
No progress, but i think it is going to be the D Lux
I just wish there was enough fast slide film to keep the art of photography going in my heart.
Whatever anyone says, digital cameras are image capturing devices and film is true photography.
That is true. That is probably why I am procrastinating in stead of getting myself one. Maybe a Leica should be film based, everything else is just a sad travesty.
