I was entertained for a while, but now it's getting really vulgar and rockstar, with everyone looking way too cool while smoking incessantly. I also hate how they juxtapose the modern rock music.

Although the fashion was for short hair in those days, the savage styles of these characters is unrealistic.
"Arthur have yow been to the barber?"
" Yes Tommy."
" Don't worry. We'll get him for ya.
Nobody messes with the Shelbys."
.... continues in this vein for a full hour.

Dreadlocked preacher? I don't think so.
Hahahaha.
One of those TV shows that leads to people dressing to be an extra in it. Got a few mates who wore that look and caught consumption for a bit. Bit sad really.
I'm still waiting for my part in Shameless.
The razor blades in the peak caps is real, my grandfather told me about that, I'm talking about the 20s now. Also there were women who use to work in the steel mills who use to dress like men and drink pints. But I think there can be a tendency to look through our time through the prism of the past, but very darkly. The world was tougher then, but a good time could no doubt be had if you had the money.
