Shirt Makers in London.

I'm looking for suggestions of the above. Basically I'm looking to take a shirt by Fray and get it copied style wise. The shirt has a wonderful button down collar with a fab roll, non fused. Other requirements are hand button holes, MOP buttons sew with a shank and made without a front placket. Would prefer to be able to get just one made first to test the water but am not ruling out a minimum order of three.

I use H&H but have no idea what their button down collars act like, I have never gotten any from them before. I do have two on order though, can take pics when they arrive in a couple weeks.

Re: Shirt Makers in London.

It's been years and years -- but I first went to Harvie & Hudson when the USD and GBP had about parity.  Obviously, a very different world then.  Went a few more times over the years.  Thinking back, I think I was pretty opinionated on what I wanted -- and they were polite and accommodating -- but I might not be so fussy now.  I think they were amused by my desire for button-down shirts that were probably almost as (un)fitted as a Brooks shirt.   Later, I I had a lot of shirts made by Ascot Chang when they had the one location and before they branched out. (How are they doing these days?) I found the materials and the fit and the workmanship exquisite.  I've no idea what they're like now.  Obviously, their business really grew since then.

Re: Shirt Makers in London.

I've been looking at those Ascot Chang, worth the dough then? Look nice online. Or spank, as the young un's say.

Been looking at Oger's site at some fine looking BD shirts. Loving this, pricey but what an item https://www.oger.nl/online-shop/kleding/overhemden/fray-katoenen-pique-shirt-arizona-137184.html just seeing it with off white chino's...boomboom, shake the room...and white canvas tennis shoes (no socks). topped off with my Tom Ford Sunglasses, now they are spank, a dash of Chanel's Egotise swanning into town on the back of a couple of beers, bifter and a big toot.

You gotta love the weekends.

Oger is interesting as they are, according to my sources, bucking the trend here and doing extremely well. They have reinvented themselves as a MTM tailor and the stores are more focused on business suits now. Their range is much less than it use to be the mid-2000's. A good source for Incotex chinos in the past, which are probably, or were, the best you could buy. Which reminds me, I should check them out again.

Re: Shirt Makers in London.

I always look at their site, some top dollar gear.

Incotex seem to be slim and really narrow next to my size 10s.  I've just got a pair of chinos by Brioni via STF. No import duty, which was a result. Really nice, 12" rise, 17" bottoms. The missus is hemming in the turn ups as I type. Really fancy that jersey shirt but €350? I've messaged them and they won't ship as a gift or with the price marked down, thats gonna be another ton+ on top. Plus post. I'm just not paying that for it, tis wicked though.
