The carefully cultivated louche look has served him well through the years. I must give more thought to the unbuttoned collar and slightly dishevelled tie, I think it's not too late.
Bryan Ferry is 70? Yikes time flies.
For some reason I have never been able to look at Ferry without imagining him in a butcher's apron, or being engaged in plastering or some similar trade. Not quite sure why, but his clothes/image always seem to me an incongruous fit with his labourers face...

Spot on, I just dont see the guy as a style icon..its not innate to him, in my view.
Undone Bow Tie + Loud Camp Dinner Jacket = "cultivated" butcher's apron Louche
Undone Bow tie + Shawl lapel pastel colored dinner jacket = true f#ck you Louche
I've never been of the mind that Bryan Ferry was a style icon, or the Roxy Music was all that good, but I think he is reasonably adept at projecting what he wants with his clothes.
I can assure you its not jealously, it might just simply be a preference to what I believe is good style. But I dont think he has 'it', if many women disagree thats fine, Im not judging him by whether I want to sleep with him or not.
Saying that, the pic in front of the wallpaper is nice, but again, i dont think there is any charisma there to really engage with

Watch and tell me you can't imagine him slicing up a couple of Barnsley chops...

Roxy Music through Siren was tremendous, their music holds up incredibly well to me, I still get adrenalized by the early stuff, I mean I really love it ....
but Bryan personally is a fool or worse .....
the guitar work by Manzanera and the powerful drumming of Paul Thompson, and the great lyrics and creepy singing by Ferry, and the great treatments by the Enoid and later Eddie Jobson combined to make the best English rock of the 1972-75 era ......
plus the Country Life cover ....
the Esquire UK article is laughable for several reasons
stylewise, Ferry is a cad, a bounder ......
Meh.
I like the first few albums, though.

BF doesn't look like any butcher I have seen. For his age he does look as fit as a butchers dog, however. I would wish to look that good at 70.
