Back to ties, yet again....I will be at the King's tailor next week to get some of their splendid Viyella's for the winter and Hermes ties clones that actually, might quite well be, Hermes, but don't tell anyone!

And how much does this socialist personal dressing service cost? I mean in terms of becoming class conscious in No.1 Savile Row.
It's free.
I would rather take you out and get you completely lashed, challenge all your socialist ideals and the next day you would be free from ideology, dogma and BS. I would also get your Tugboat ties project back on track. All free, all part of the inflight entertainment when the Hepcat's back in town!
I dont have socialist ideals Hep, but I recognise why they're there and their uses. All extremes are massively limiting, but equally necessary, they put but one half of a whole truth. You run a cold tap to cool a hot bath, yet you might not necessarily want to sit in a freezing cold bath do you, everything has a use, even a Van Buck tie, however I believe there are better manifestations of what a Van Buck tie means to wear, because although the sentiment is correct parts of it are lacking.
However my interest is the realisation of our minds in the material world. Which is why I prefer to discuss the plastic arts primarily but any broader connotations are of course valid and helpful, because of the interconnections they all have, however if an idea cannot manifest itself then what good is it. This is what interests me, we can discuss ideas till the cows come home, yet to have it there physically is the material proof your idea had weight.
Firstly you have to know where you are in order to move correctly. If you cant see the ledge how do you know if you are walking away from it...or to it? We need a simple map of our posistion inside the physical constraints of the material world and then the connection tonour psyches in order to understand ourselves. Otherwise as much as we like we are not actually communicating our true selves only the constructs that have brought us so far. How do we in fact go further?

I like the one in the middle (a bit van Doesburg) the one on the right, doesn't work for me (its similar colour-wise to one of colour wheel infamy., not that its bad. Don't like the one on the left.
It's not, but whatever you feel you need to have to say Formby. You could just say you dont like it, I'd probably have more respect for you if you did.
he..he...
Certainly not sartorial popularism FNB, Im judging them in the sense of the timeless concepts of design. Which no one has yet unconfirmed or disproved because these are mathematical constants in the material world. And have been utilised for the best part of 4000 years by the adept. There is a lot to be learned and without knowing how can you honestly judge whether that is beneficial to you or not?
Let me start with a very simple question that might make this relevant to you, I dont want you to loose interest or think Im wasting your time.
What are you objectives by choosing the clothes you wear?

Bop dont forget that for some people here, wearing a Van Buck tie is the equivalent of insta-self-nobilitation, because aristocratic people in the know wear silly ties with loud patterns, and only the unenlightened wear tame Hermes ones.
The explanation that anyone who takes up issue with you is a sociopath is such a played out internet falicy. I certainly am not a narcissistic, or sociopathic person, my psychiatrist explained to me as much.
Here is a question for you Formby, have you ever looked upon anything in nature and thought, wow?
Would you like me to explain the classic proportions and geometric underpinnings of our perceived sound and light spectrum? Can you without looking at google?

I'm sorry Formby, but the steamroller isnt going to work, if your telling me 4000 years of classical study cant aid your choice of tie, it is you that is quite unwell.
Why do you think you have such a positive response to a summer's morning?
Bopsta,
There is nothing in this conversation for me, we operate at completely different levels. You keep asking the same basic questions, over and over and over.
Honestly, Its like having a conversion with a slightly dim GCSE Physics student.
Its quite a simple question Formby.
Might I add a man that suggests the knowledge that lead the best minds in human history to make the leaps and bounds we have come is insufficient in order to help him dress, has the gaul to call me an egotist? What do you know that they didnt? It really is ok to submit to your limitations Formby.
