When l find a good sock that l enjoy wearing l can't stop stocking up on them. I have thin socks, thick socks, cotton sox, bamboo sox, wool sox etc. I love nothing better than a big draw full of sox because l find good sox hard to find. I must have well over 100 pair of socks. Most of my socks are plain navy blue.

Tell us about your socks and your mindset. How many pairs do you think you have?

Plain navy blue addict here too, Pantherella is my #1 brand.

I tend to buy in bulk and over wear them until I decide to throw the lot out and rebuild. No real preference or allegiance, but Pantherella are probably the best, but I don't have a great many of this brand.

Charcoal grey or navy blue in winter. Light grey or no socks in summer. The occasional foray into multi colour horizontal stripes with loafers. Never Argyle patterns as they remind me of old blokes and golf.

Uniqlo. Bright red. Dirt cheap, so chuck them out at the first sign of wear.

Socks.

Never to be "ironic", always to be brand new. Patina doesnt work here.
