Thanks Stan, Berkeley & Armchaired for your honesty, no offence taken. As this is my first hopsack jacket and I’m bound to make mistakes along the way, and as Berkeley kindly explained to me it’s not about the itilan fit it’s a classic American fit. In hindsight it doesn’t fit and I think 38S was a little optimistic! Now I shall hunt for a 40S. Thanks again guys for your advice.
^ One of things about pursuing an Ivy look is that, unless you have wads of cash to spend, you can't just walk into a shop and buy it off the peg. It takes acquisition of knowledge, dedication and effort to track stuff down, be it new or vintage. There are inevitably things you buy that don't work out and if they are vintage you end up having to sell them on, all part of the fun. We choose to go Ivy, not because it's easy, but because it is hard (sorry JFK).
It's a harmless little hobby really.
man I like those emblematics though I'll call one a motif and one a novelty tie, you didn't say where they were from, if they're from J. Press which they weren't they'd be emblematics, I hope Oxy catches a glimpse of these .....
really good stuff Beebs, don't think I'm flip-flopping, but where are your socks in that last pic? I'm one to talk I know .......
