I never knew if the wardrobe designer knew or did not know that both belt and suspenders was a no-no. If he/she knew then it was a stroke of genius, if they didnt know, then it is a curious failing which underscores th power of perception and why you should always infuse your sartorial choices with confidence.
HOpefully I can do some screenshots someday, as Bill was always wearing grey dress pants with tasseled laofers and coloured socks. Those socks were probably his only rebellion against being the "plastic man", as you put is so well.

I watched this film again last night, and I enjoyed it more than ever.
Although it is difficult to watch movies now without being distracted by costuming.
