I'd say Buddy Holly in the red cords up there is a cautionary tale. He looks like a bit of a try-hard. A navy or hunter green turtleneck instead of the white, brown cords, and regular beat up penny loafers, and he'd look a lot better in my opinion.
Bringing this thread back to ask a question. Does anyone remember the military canvas belts with slides? I've worn those since forever with jeans and been doing so since I was in school. I really don't remember seeing them on other people but I doubt I would have noticed back then. Were they a thing at any time or was it just me?
I've seen a few in old yearbooks, mikey, and actually was just thinking about them. Not many, but they were there. No hardcore Ivy guys in them, but Ivy-adjacent, 70s and 80s.
Thanks for the answers, I can't remember when I picked that habit up but it was a long time ago. I was always a little different anyway.
I'll see if I can find any pics to validate ya
I got a copy as well. Some great items and they seem to list the shop / price which is interesting.
Feel free to post pics from the inside...
Any and all, my man. Whatever strikes your fancy... Interested in what they have for the 80s and 90s though for sure.

see the Adid@s, N!ke, Desert Treks, Wallabys, Top-Siders, can't quite ID the squash player's sneakers, could they be Converse Deck Stars, which were Sperry-like
can't quite make out the sneakers on the cross-eyed grimacing football ogre either
good batch though, I can tell these pics were from '77-'79, maybe '76-'80
