When I saw your post I was tired and susceptible. I thought "Oh I wonder what that King and Clarke means," looked on eBay and voila.
From what little I can find on the subject, Warren Buffett bought Dexter and effed it up. It disappeared late 90s. There is an outfit called MaineSole in Dexter, Me., which occupies Quoddy-type territory but at a substantially lower price.
