^ Sounds like it was a great stop off Rod, once these interesting areas get 'gentrified' by the chain stores moving in places like that find it hard to survive. But maybe the trend will be bucked by the small enclaves that seem to be springing up here and there like Chiltern St in London. John Simons was quite far sighted to open up his store there, as it has since been populated by high end independent shops selling all sorts from saxophones to sweaters.
