Some light reading.
I liked Esquire when Jim Harrison was writing his macho food column ......
this article is good comedy fodder:
One lad wears a shirt and tie under a polo shirt under a blazer. I don’t think it’s right, and yet there’s nothing I want to do more ... There are Pierce & Pierce gym bags ... Lesbos fishing village knitted into a sweater ... I normally stop in and see the gang at Pitti Uomo in Florence ... jammed a with cool, sartorial dudes ... the shtick at Drake’s is one of a sexy college professor with an eye for Neapolitan tailoring, a penchant for edibles and a Vespa ... I've considered the cowboy trend, but I don't have the bum for chaps ....
just a little weird ....
this weekend was a real prep fest for me, my buddy had a three-day party with a giant barbeque, DJ, and funk band, nearly everybody was wearing Hawaiian shirts, I drank a fair amount of dark rum and I got a new nickname: Mr. Limes
truest preps abounding but maximum social inclusiveness, these are good people, they don't give a damn what you wear as long as you're funny
Got the O'Connell's email. Glad they're making the adjustments they need to make. Thank goodness so much of their business is online anyway - good thing they redesigned their website. I have no spare cash at the moment or I'd be doing my part...
I think the waters are going to look very different when all of this calms down, at least here in the US. Hopefully we can see some promising coastline on the horizon.

Harrison wrote the movie Revenge, it bombed at the box office but I always liked it a lot. It had an excellent cast: Costner, Anthony Quinn, Miguel Ferrer, James Gammons stand out. If you are at all familiar with Harrison it's evident he was involved with it.
