Lands' End blue OCBD and khaki chinos, Tricker's Kendal, Uniqlo grey lambswool crew neck sweater, navy Gloverall Duffle Coat. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to take photos. Sorry.

Much darned L.L.Bean cardigan.  Black, heavily ribbed, made in Scotland
White Brooks OCBD with a frayed collar
Bottle green cords
German-made socks
Dunlop slippers (navy)

Yesterday: Brooks OCBD (university stripe), cream McGeorge cashmere v-neck, navy cords, Florsheim smooths, Brooks unlined mac over left arm.

Ah, this little combo made me almost nostalgic. Sounds almost Frosty-Mellorish, but there's something about this person's sensibility and their distinctive linguistic syntax which I think reveals their identity...

Whilst poking around a Salvation Army shop, saw Italian made merino v-neck (wrong size and colour: purple, a no-no), nice mustard-coloured M&S lambswool crew-neck (I used to wear their v-neck or RL a lot when working in a school), a Korean-made Towncraft half-sleeve, an Italian-made Cecil Gee sweater.  Nothing priced above £4.  What would you have done?

I would have bought the lot and never worn any of it. But then I’m an addict pissing away the little money I have. Which is unfortunate.
I am though looking forward to wearing a camel coloured Shetland crew neck with a gingham BD when the weather turns.
I’m Nelly by the way. I haven’t posted for some time and it’s nice to see the site back.

I'm truly glad someone thinks so.  I've been described as 'Psychotic' In Another Place.  But I'm only trying to keep 'TI' ticking over.  Good to see you.

Blue today.  BB half-sleeve as it's a nice day.  Navy BB v-neck cashmere.  Made in Scotland and quite pricey a few years back.  Navy cords, too.  Then the BB raincoat (a touch of Cary Grant) and the trusty Florsheim with the polished-up conker toecaps for quiet contrast.

Re: Ivy league style for today (part 2)

White Makers button-down - buttons unbuttoned a la some people we know...
Cream McGeorge cashmere v-neck - came from one of our American friends way back when...
No-name blue cords - decent enough rise...
The 'grubby olive' (copyright Woofboxer) Dhobi raincoat...
A rather nice 346 cashmere scarf in some unknown (to me anyway) tartan...
Falke socks...
Florsheim smooths...

£85 well spent on shoe repairs, now busily scratching the soles...

Florsheim smooths - the greatest shoe ever made? Technically speaking: obviously not, although the quality is superb. Aesthetically speaking: I believe so.
