Take It Or Leave It: A seersucker jacket

I once had a nice shirt and sported a jacket.  Saw one today and was almost, almost tempted.  But it didn't fit.

Cosplay?

I've never owned a Seersucker jacket but have also been almost tempted on a few occasions. I saw a bloke wearing one, and in full Ivy regalia, at Leigh on sea a couple of summers ago. He looked the business and it stuck in my mind that I should buy one.

I would absolutely love a 1950s all cotton seersucker sack jacket. In my size and undamaged, naturally. The chances of finding one are pretty slim though.

I think a suit would be even better. O'Connell's had and very probably still has seersucker suits that caught my eye a few years ago.

I bet the Leigh on Sea guy was a poster on here.

We need some sort of secret handshake for those moments when we meet in the real world.

Yes I thought the Leigh boy could have been a poster on here at one time. We both gave each other a look of recognition but didn't say anything.

The guy in Leigh On Sea would be Peter Knock, a 60s original who has the soft shoulder look down to a T. I've never spoken to him, only PM'ed him a bit on Instagram, but we once passed each other on Millenium Bridge near Tate Modern and we both eagerly clocked each other without potentially spoiling the illusion and stopping to chat.
