I was faintly amused that Tony Soprano is seen putting on a Canali shirt before embarking on one of his extra-marital journeys. One that, for whatever reasons, and just for once, doesn't work out, with the very sultry-looking Jewish addict that Christopher ends up banging.
Is it as good as Brioni? Almost certainly not? Zegna? On a par with? Boggi?
The shirt I'm wearing has bags of style and is about as unlike a modern English (or probably American, now) shirt as I can imagine. A sensible spread collar; no farting about with then buggering up. Lovely cotton, too. Not 'Ivy League', but sometimes those rules can be bent or broken a little, as with Gucci driving shoes or Weston loafers. Someone on here, years ago, spoke of 'Euro-trash'. I disagree.
I note FNB himself once wrote of it respectfully.
