Interesting chap, this Graham Marsh.  Bit disconcerting, though, to find him named as sole author of a couple of books that we know perfectly well involved co-authorship.  Credit where credit's due, I always think.

To me when I see Graham Marsh mentioned it’s like a quality symbol.
You know what you’re going to get will be well researched, beautifully presented and clearly articulated.
The Ivy Look remains one of my favourite fashion books  by him and 2Russell Street.
What I think is incredibly clever is how they managed to pull together so many strands and still present it in a very structured and intelligent way. It manages to get across the key components of the style without being a boring textbook. The mixture of essays, photography and illustrations works well.
I would love to see a second volume and more photography of current looks like the Levi’s and Lacoste page.
When I found it was out of print I snapped up a second copy straightaway.

A long story, but not mine to tell.

Cryptic..

I'm with Alvey on this, Graham's work on the Ivy Look, the other books and the Kamakura shirt collaborations show a master's grasp of the subject. He may have been collecting his state pension for a few years but every time I've seen him he looks razor sharp, a real exponent of the hip Ivy look who loves all this stuff.

Don't really know GM, but whenever I've seen him he always looks on point. My old boss of Harrington once opened a shop in Brewer St Soho (I think it was partly a nostalgic trip opening the shop as that's where he started when he worked for JS). Anyway GM used to pop in on a regular basis and was apparently well liked by the lads in there. Although I've never met him to talk to so I can't really comment.
