On the technical side - not my bag, man - he's been keeping things running: talking to FNB etc.
I just keep on opening my big mouth.
An unsung hero on this forum.
That’s very kind of you AFS, but your enthusiasm has got this forum up and running again as have the contributions of the regulars here. Let’s hope FNB comes up with a improved hosting site in the new year so things can go forward. In the mean time best wishes to all for Christmas and 2022.
Thanks for your moderation Woof. Hopefully things will go from strength to strength here in 2022.
I sort of picked up the ball and ran with it, but if it hadn't been for Woof, Yuca, TRS, Robbie and a handful (if that) of others there wouldn't have been a ball to pick up.
I’m grateful to you, Woof, and to all of you who host and post.
Thanks to everyone posting on this forum. Woof,of course, but especially AFS who has kept the show on the road
Anyway, gentlemen, as things gradually quieten before that hundredth viewing of 'White Christmas' (I'm old enough to remember it, fuzzy, on BBC2) and that (perfectly understandable) feeling of wanting to poison your mother-in-law overwhelms you after the punch, let us reflect.
I looked at Robbie's posting on whether or not the forum was still active and decided, after a nine year break, to inflict myself on you once more.
And, once again, thanks to Woofboxer, who I think is still staving off that well-earned retirement. The only chap of his type who goes to bed in pyjamas boasting an off-centre, swelled vent rescued from a dusty cardboard box in Ethan's back room...
A special Christmas greeting to our Jewish friends, too. We love having you here.
And a happy winter solstice to all you pagans out there.
A true story. My wife and I, about five or six years ago, were invited to become Druids. Almost twenty years ago I was invited to a meeting of the Golden Dawn sect. I - then we - politely declined.
Winter solstice today. A big deal for folks who head to Stonehenge.
