For once, words fail me! I'm beginning to think the original is a Stephen Bayley-style 'design classic'.
I'm not sure what you're referring to here AFS?
Sorry, Woof, I should have said: item/s being sold on Ebay. Baracuta horrors.
It doesn't sound that good!
There’s a patchwork G9 on the Baracuta site. Hideous. And over a grand.
Then there’s the matching trousers…..
I'm struggling to decide which I dislike more: the idea of a patchwork G9 or the price.
Have they done camo yet? Someone on Ebay was auctioning what I think was a 'sample' which looked slightly busy to me but would probably appeal to the Merc-type shopper who has lost his bearings on the way to Chiltern Street. Perhaps, as a replacement for Covid Marshals, we should have cardboard cut-outs of Paul Weller pointing in the right direction.
Let's face facts, patchwork almost anything is generally a mistake.

In a Hi-Viz G9 maybe.
Paul Weller in one of his JS 'fair isle jumpers' should be sufficient for him to stand out
The patchwork RL tartan shirts were something to behold. And not in a good way. Well dodgy doesn't begin to describe them. I don't do 'fun' shirts.
Patchwork quilts make me think of institutions, prisons, mental hospitals.
And the Essex artist Grayson Perry has tried his hand at patchwork . He is someone I feel I should like but I just can't get to grips with his work.
You can never have too much patchwork.
Very much a question of when and where. I seem to recall a shirt. Very vaguely. I often have to look over old threads on here to remind me what I once owned. The shirt evidently didn't work. No-one in the UK posting on this forum would have that patchwork Baracuta as a free gift for turning over the compost heap. I'd put money on it. They just wouldn't use it as a burial shroud. No, no, no.
In the United States, somewhere around Martha's Vineyard, with no questions asked, maybe. I wouldn't really know.
Now Baracuta have 'reworked' the G9 and produced a paisley Harrington with the Frazer tartan lining. Collaboration with Needles a Japanese company. Oh dear.
Complete with a Butterfly logo!
There's also a very nasty, very expensive Ralphie cardigan being offered on Ebay. Wouldn't have it as a gift for the cats basket.
