Just aside from that jacket, I often wonder to what extent Ebay sellers know (or care) just what it is they're offering.  I suppose there's always the possibility (likelihood, really) that we, as enthusiasts (as well as consumers) place a far greater value on something like a seersucker jacket or a particular pair of loafers.  I'm often seduced by Boom Years labels.  So, it's an emotional, aesthetic, complex response.  The seller, I suppose, just wants something in the bank.  But what about that adorable Madras jacket currently going begging on Ebay?  £20!
