Seen them but size 40 is the largest they've got. And I'm a 42, for now. The smallest I've been in 10 years. At my normal weight I a am 38, which I'm trying to get to again.

I've bought Lands' End Trad Fit chinos for so long now that I want to wear something new, something of better quality. Waiting for the RRL chinos (Classic-fitting trousers with a straight leg and a high rise. Made from Japanese cotton twill. Inspired by field trousers from the 1940s. Washed for added softness.) to be re-stocked in my size. They cost 199 euros and that is propably the most I'm willing to pay for pants.

What about these PRL Relaxed Fit Utility trousers (crusty semen stains included).

I did take a look at the PRL chinos, looked good to me although the price looks steep and maybe the leg opening a tad wide for my build, ( don’t want to go the AS look), in light of recent online purchases that I’ve had to return I’ve decided not to buy any more trousers online,

I was in the M & S store in Southend  last week but it's mainly food and the menswear area is small and shrinking every time I go. Didn't notice any Jaeger clothes and they didn't have cords in my size.

RRL Field Chinos (straight leg wider hem, not to be confused with the slim Officer Chino) are sound chinos in terms of fit. Be forewarned that they run huge. I'm typically a 34/36 and I wear a 32 waist which runs 88cm. The leg opening is 23cm which is pretty accommodative for thick calves. You'll find none of this info on the RL site. Their sizing chart is a joke. Also, I visit the Orvis outlet (Stateside) regularly where Ultimate Chinos are sometimes as cheap as $15usd. Although this is my first post and no one knows me from Adam shipping to the UK wouldn't be out of the question. The shipping would be the most expensive bit.

I visited my local Orvis over the weekend. Very much in a state of jumble sale sell off. Still plenty in there, but mainly larger sizes, so no good for me. Plenty of harrington style jackets in there though if anyone's in the market for one at the moment.
