Amazing ad. Thanks for posting. Sells Ivy both as aspirational and everyman. Some might take issue with the sizable cuffs and zero or negative break though
great pics & styles throughout. i love to read all this.
besides the clothes, i like the overall minimalist / modernist design of the clipper craft ad. it shows perfectly that ivy style goes perfectly with and actually is a great part of modernist art & design. very nice. me appreciate much.
edit: as soon as i'll have spare time i'll re-read this great thread throughout.

Tony, ol' chum, you've outdone yourself, a game of squash and a round of G&T's at the club, on Trip's tab!
Band- you know you can get tab collared shirts of nearly any point length at Brooks MTM shirt department at 346 right?
Pure class TV.
I've spent most of today looking at the SI site.

i really love the layout of those old sports-illustrated numbers. very minimal, very cool, very aesthetic. TIMELESS COOL at it's best, much more modernist than any tacky target/cliche mod layout/design one every now and then encounters, presented 'modernist'. people should really look up to paul rand & co more than carnaby street + the who. (sorry for going off-topic and being aless than a little controversial now lol)

You really sum up the divide between Modernist and Mod very well there. Neat work!
The "Get Smart" TV series and the movie "How to Succeed in Business witohut really trying" have a lot of good Trad outfits from the '60s.
