I love that name 'Patio Jacket', it evokes a whole era don't you think?
looks like Leavitt & Pearce
Is that the place with the clothes downstairs & then you walked up the creaky wooden stairs to this off-white painted olde room with bare boards & lots of chess games set out in the middle of the room with pipes & 1,000,000 different kinds of tobacco in olde glass jars all around the edges of the room with high wooden counters?
If so - Nice!
Sadly by '90 the clothes downstairs were just Red 'Harvard' sweatshirts & other bits of tourist tat - Rather like the 'College' shops in Oxford now-a-days.
Upstairs was the experience you went there for.
If indeed that is what we are talking about here.

This looks great and timeless to me. That is, pic. 5. The rest are blah.

Also worth noting how much ad copy is devoted in the HSM ad to tailoring technique.
Thanks for the photos, bandofoutsiders, these are great.
Love the two in the football picture. What great combinations. The darker colors are under-emphasized in the ties available today, even at Press, IMO.
Like that blonde in the old-time swimsuit spread too...girls that actually do their hair (instead of taking great pains for the out of bed look) are always attractive...among many other, more obvious things in the picture.
Yeah, those are great suits, and ties. And that blond's 'doo is swell.
