If you look at the bottom right corner of this ad, it appears that the House of Worsted-Tex (strange name) had 'Ivy League' copywritten.

Also, I didn't realize that anyone wore those huge ugly sunglasses that are currently in vogue back then. I thought they were the creation of c. 2004 or so.

Yes, this is still one of the best thrads here... Still haven't figured myself how to check the Sports Illustrated archives, though...
Of course, weejuns/ penny loafers have not disappeared, but the problem is that "style advisers" at least in Europe will tell you that it's an 80s "college style" thing and that it's passe or that it was a fauy-pas to wear them with suits. In Germany penny loafers are always referred to as "college slippers"....
