Re: Ivy League style for today

I'm not going to give up on summery clothes, I'm still wearing a cotton sports jacket (light brown). I'm wearing it with a blue Brooks´ pinpoint oxford with a rumpled collar (love them!), dark denims and black brogues. Beige mac to fight the cold wind. Socks are pastel green for a bit of colour.

Black Daniel Hechter penny loafers, a little too square of toe and low of profile. Eurotrashy.
Black/off-white/deep red Burlington argyles. With the silly metal thingy snipped off.
H&M raw denim 'Sliq' jeans, rolled up.
Old black belt, browning at the edges, with brass buckle.
Brooks blue slim-fit OCBD, clean but unironed.
3 1/2"-wide Robert Talbott Lothian and Border Horse repp tie (I'm entitled; those are the two areas of Scotland I grew up in. Plus I did sit on a shetland pony once as a small child)
C&A dark grey merino sweater vest
Brooks navy sack blazer
'Japan only' G-Shock on wrist, the plain black square kind

Patrick you put us all to shame. Me anyway.

I'm not particularly Ivyesque today, but why break the (posting) habits of a lifetime...

black chelsea boots, burgundy socks
aubergine slim cord slacks
white straight-collar shirt with fine blue/brown/beige stripes
bronze/olive/black/dark blue repp stripe silk tie (Gimball's, 2 1/8 wide) - a cracker which IIRC was a freebie from bandofoutsiders
navy lambswool crewneck
black Sympatex mac, bronze lining (kind of "my thoughts are with you all during your difficult times..."-style)
beepy Citizen 'Blue Angels' Navihawk on wrist

Re: Ivy League style for today

(probably far too) casual Friday:

Clarks sand suede desert boots
what I thought were off-white cotton socks getting dressed in the dark this morning. In fact they're 'OAP beige'.
charity shop stonewashed 501s
high-necked white T under plain grey C&A sweatshirt
unbuttoned Pendleton wool shirt in rusty red, black with white and yellow overcheck
natural-coloured G9

Too 'gay lumberjack' maybe? smile
