Re: Style Icons

I have to say that I often wear a short-sleeved shirt here and would not do so in London but I cannot understand the extreme aversion from them; especially when they are hidden under a coat.

One day I dare say that some bright spark in anthropology will undertake a Phd thesis on the subject of

'Internet Pedigrees and The Evolution of The Code of the i-gentry'.

Re: Style Icons

I think one of the innovations of the Evil Duke was that he dressed for climate conditions as much as for compliance with social propriety or custom. And when he did have to wear something that made no sense for the climate, he complained about it. In other words, modern.

I kind of like the short-sleeve dress-shirt with a bolo tie -- haven't rocked the look since the early 90's, but I still think it has its place.

I'm trying to help you, I'm trying to help you to have standards. I'm trying to make you know that the world isn't pleased to see you. You're ugly and superfluous and ignorant and you should be frightened and meek and grateful.

I think that all that the Little Dook needs with this suit is a water-squirting buttonehole and a big red nose...
