Thomas penn, my dad's mum side are the penn de putnems, a lot of them went over with penn.
You can use that providence to get Chenners to do table tricks and shimmy dancing for you and your friends delight.
I hope he is franticaly scouring the net looking for dirt on them.
Who? The guy the FBI suspect of being involved in a Kiddy Bothering network ?
Fair enough.

Are you related to Muffy Aldrich Oo Bop? With that lineage I am surprised she hasn't mentioned you on her blog yet.
Did a bit of research and there we go, I'm an honorary Boston Brahmin! Oh Chenny, dance for me Chenny!
From wiki,
Boston Brahmins are wealthy Yankee families characterized by a highly discreet and inconspicuous lifestyle. Based in and around Boston, they form an integral part of the historic core of the East Coast establishment. They are associated with the distinctive Boston Brahmin accent, and with Harvard University.

Sadly, when I researched my family on Ancestry.co.uk all I found was a hundred and fifty years of foreman navvies, foreman dockers and foreman boiler makers of Irish descent. Some during the famine made it Stateside, my ancestors only made it to Liverpool. The WWI army medical records are interesting too, they all come across as shirkers with a strong backbone of LMF.
Then there's the heinous crimes several of them committed....
My youngest brother did a bit of digging.
He found that on my dad's dad's side, we're related to "Marriott's" , in the East London hamlet of Stepney, circa 100 years ago. (Steve Marriott??)
Don't have the same haircut though.
I always thought my uncle looked like lloyd grossman. It ain't to pretty on the otherside though hep, bit like you with the irish, a bit of geordie too that were either digging coal or driving trains, or laying the tracks!
^ Nothing wrong with that, boy!
Salt o the earth!
Geordie and Irish Navvie over Plymouth rockites any day.
Makes Hep and Bop great breeding stock don't you know.

Mr Chensvold is from northern Califoirnia and has never attended an Ivy League school according to his Facebook page.
Exactly, he can never rise to the dizzying heights of the noble "400", but our Bop can.
True and i know he has Norwegian ancestry ,Ethnically close but not really white anglo saxon protestant.Would'nt he just love to sign up for the society of the decendants of the founding fathers of New England.just like Muffy and her old man, maybe Bop can?.

Muffy never neglects to mention it. Personally I can say my family descend from three rebels involved in the Uprising of the Pike! That makes me royalty in Ireland.
I'd even question the 'Elite' origins of Brooks - All you ever needed was money to shop there. The idea that education & social connections were a point of sale consideration is beyond stupid.
'Old Money' America IS a part of the picture, but only a part. Really the story of Ivy in the US is the story of money in America... And class has really not very much to do with that. Especially over there.

It also makes you along with me Hep and Bop children of the gael.Amazing to think 42 million americans claim irish ancestry.
Mind you, i do beleive over there owning some Donegal tweed or having once drank a pint of Porter makes you irish american.

I've found a bit of dirt, the daughter of thomas putmen was the main accuser in the salem witch trials! Who later admitted to making up the allegations!
I'm going to get down the liabary, see what i can lay claim to. It's funny really after all those years i think they went over in the 17th century and i'm still no further away from the family village. Maybe my lot didnt travel too well,i certainly don't care for it. I might go and pay muffy as visit now though! I've always like the look of maine in the fall.
