Very interesting and hopefully the project will reach full fruition and distribution on BBC4.

By the way, the use of 50s jazz music may not be such a copyright nightmare as first envisaged. There's lots of jazz music being released on EU independent labels where the copyright is somewhat grey. There are different copyright laws in the US and Europe and there's a quite a number of independent jazz labels exploiting this.

Sounds like a good project. I lived in Kew during the 80s and used to shop in Richmond at The Ivy Shop then. I ended up working just round the corner. Hopefully Potter's music shop will get a mention which was a couple of shops up from The Ivy, Mr Potter always had some good jazz LPs to peruse after getting the latest ivy purchase. Around that time ('82-87) JS was selling Hathaway shirts, 501s, Bass and he started bringing in US Russell Athletic sweatshirts. I loved that place!
