Re: Ivy League style for today

Well I have new balance trainers for running, a packable mac style thing for when it rains...and some uniqlo shirts I wear for work because they were cheap and dont need to be ironed, as I need tonwear a shirt and trousers everyday id rather not wear my good stuff. As for questioning my mid-century credentials I had asbestos reintroduced into the walls, all the cookware is aluminium and the bomb shelter is in preparation for when the Ruskies decide to attack. .

But if your into a style of dress surely you'd wear that style for work as well? Its not like your spending a lot on those garments is it?

Didn't Yuca recently say he was taking on a position that required him to wear polo shirts every day?  I mean, no reason he must also wear polo shirts outside the office.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I might as well give my opinion re. Verrgate: it's a good photo and is not necessarily the harbinger of a series of neoprep shots, so Bop's comments to me don't make sense, particularly in light of some of the other shots that pass without criticism on here. However I do think CB's 'Salvation Army mannequin' dig might have unintentionally provoked Bop into not quite keeping his posts up to their usual deeply considered, highly articulate level.

Also bringing up Mercer16 is about the most depressing thing I can think of, but for the record - he may well have been borderline ivy but the point is that he looked like shit and made no attempt to be any more than looking like shit. As illustrated by his abusive PM to Oliver when Oliver politely and tactfully tried to give him an insight into forum etiquette.

Obviously the title of the thread does not refer to whether or not someone is trying to give us a nice photo, but I think it's implicit that the photo must at least have some slight likelihood of not looking like shit, even if only in the eyes of the person in it. Therefore all support of him was misguided to say the least. If Verr is wrong but Mercer16 was right then we need to change the thread title to 'How crap can you look?'

Re: Ivy League style for today

I still feel like if Verr for instance was wearing what Mercer did most of the time (plaid bd, jeans, and camp mocs) there wouldnt have been a problem...i think a forum about clothes became body facist pretty fucking quickly, and you are a bit of a naughty one when it comes to that Yuca..
