/\  some Deansgate has excellent natural shoulders, very great score KPW

I'm guessing from the look of it that it's from mid-'66

Thanks. The tag didn't have a price but some weird numbers like a "38," so I'm guessing it's a size 38, although it fit me in the shoulders and I usually wear 36S. Maybe your dad knew the shop? I don't think the shop is around anymore, unfortunately

*His* dad might have known it, my dad was six in 1966... Very cool find, I'm a big fan of regional stuff. When I was in college in upstate NY the thrift shops around school had tons of suite, blazers and overcoats from upstate NY shops, all gone now... Pieces of history just as much as an old Press jacket or Brooks shirt...

John Simons was talking to me about this one day. Every smalltown USA had its mens outfitters shop, they used to call them 'button down shops'.

One time he was travelling in upstate NY and saw a sign outside such a shop that said 'Natural Shoulder Spoken Here'.... and he thought I'm going to nick that slogan and use it in my London shops!

That is a fantastic find, Kyle - more proof that great boom years items are still finding their way to vintage clothes shops, too.

NOS L.L. Bean flannel in the classic Royal Stewart Tartan. Still in the original packaging. Just in time for the holidays.

Just snapped this up on the bay of plenty.
Really hoping it fits. Can see it getting lots of wear next spring.

I have the same jacket, bought off here I think.. Gets much summer use, mainly with fresh out the pack white tee or navy polo, Bedford 5ps & dessert boots and of course my Cutler & Gross 0328s

Excellent. That's roughly the plan here too.

Picked up these vintage Hanover recently, also scored some rather wonderful white buck saddles but they are still stateside and will most likely be used for the exhibition.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

It was a link from a FB message I had with ActonB - was easier than messing about with flickR etc to post an image already online. Maybe that was why the link broke FB are always messing with their site code.
