Although this Clarks DB thing has been beaten to death elsewhere, one thing would interest me:

I never had Clarks desert boots as a kid or in my teens. Too expensive. We all know they are made in Vietnam nowadays. Those who know both often say the UK-made ones were far better. Corporate ethics aside, how can the Vietnamese fuck up such a simple construction as a desert boot?

I believe the 'Bronto' suede for DBs is still sourced in the UK, FWIW.
