Re: Ivy League style for today

What we have to do is to put the 'purists' on the spot...

The purism of '58 wasn't the purism of '65.

... And look back to '38 and then all of this crap explodes!

wink

Re: Ivy League style for today

hindsight is 20/20, especially through those rose tinted glasses.

My ideal is a salute to those classics that came before me, but with an attempt at drawing a slightly more youthful and modern edge. I think I need a bit more reflection to accurately capture what I am trying to say....

for now let's shorthand it as perverted-prankster-prep, or possibly insubordinate ivy?

Re: Ivy League style for today

Order one of these today, for £50 in a sample sale online - no idea whether I'll suit it, but down from £150 I couldn't say no.

Looks similar to the classic mcqueen shot, but reminds me of a photo on here of a early 60s cartoon/sketch of a guy on campus throughout the day in a nice orangey/brown cardigan...

If you're not a Tory MP AQG, I'll eat hay with a donkey. Remember Alan B'stard? Fabulous wallpaper by the way...

Perhaps I'll do a series of impersonations of fictional Tory MPs.  Coming soon:  Patrick Woolton, Tom Makepeace, Little Jeffrey Booza-Pitt and, dare I say it, FU!

Stankin' old jeans, third-day-in-a-row after-work grey cashmere crew over a white T, and natural coloured women's hiking socks in Moroccan slippers.

After it arrived, I also wore a perfectly fitting tan was 'n' wear suit for about an hour - ecstatically.
