If The Style Was a Smell:

Sanforized Oxford Cloth fresh from Cellophane?
Limes?
A Lloyd Loom chair left in the sun?

Thoughts?

Re: If The Style Was a Smell:

I think the odor of old books definitely qualifies. That is one of my favorite smells in the world, and is one reason why I still love books so much, as opposed to just reading on a screen. My late grandfather's shed also had quite an individual aroma, nothing like it since, and he was a well turned out fellow who could clean up pretty nice for a poor southern military man.

also, the smell of GOOD ganja, that's class and style.

Some people hate the English, I don't, they're just wankers. We, on the other hand, were colonized by wankers, Can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by...

Re: If The Style Was a Smell:

Old books, for sure.

Gin.

Special pipe tobacco such as my dad used to buy from the late Mr. Cooper in New Haven...not the Half & Half he gets now.

The smell of smoke outside coming from a chimney.

Salt water on the breeze.

A rose garden.

Ivy for all seasons.
