Re: Ivy League style for today

Oh Russ I was in Fopp today. I could have bumped into you in the jazz section (wasn't it awful actually? It's slowly shrinking to irrelevance is it not?). What a lovely day in London town. Cruised past the preening queens to get to the Algerian Coffee Shop. When the sun comes out the boys get all frisky - what's that all about?

Re: Ivy League style for today

woke up about 10 minutes before i had to leave the warmth of home, not much time for decision making....

wallabees knock-offs in dark brown
slim/straight relatively skinny dark blue jeans
white OCBD
heavy light grey wool fisherman/ cable knit sweater

and cold enough this morn for  my new duffle, well almost. It will be overkill outside in another hour, but the for the blustery walk from car into building it was worth it. Since I am sitting at school for awhile with little to do, should make a great pillow for a wee nap at least!

Re: Ivy League style for today

I felt distinctly like ten types of tit in yesterday's getup.  Very unusual and uncomfortable for me.  It was that damned knit tie.  Very nice, in silk and rather narrow at about two inches.  From Polo.  Couldn't stand it.  If anybody wants it, PM me and I'll pop it in the mail.  Good to exorcise one's demons every now and again.

Feel much more myself today in an Italian tie, navy field with a woven neat-repeat of little blue flowers and burgundy dots.  Cripes, it's like when you have the flu and the fever breaks.

EDIT:  One of our number has been good enough to take the infernal thing off my hands.  I'm grateful to him and suspect he will wear it to much better effect than I.

Going to a health food shop in Fitzroy for some organic seeds. Lots of unusual cool young people there so l must look the part. Seeing young blokes wearing a big overcoat and formal top hat is no big deal in those areas. All the cool people hang out there.
