And so my point is...

Let me think...

1) What do you want on your tombstone?
2) ... Search me.

Can we revisit the alcoholic breakfast?

In Paris Levi and I have Calvados first thing with our Coffee.

Brandy was nice the other day. It seemed so un-English.

And I think Vodka & Orange would work too.

Any takers?

It doesn't make you a bad person.

I can't imbibe in the morning.  Gives me a headache and dull, shaky feeling for the rest of the day.

If I get stoned in the morning, I end up eating catastrophic amounts of baked goods and falling asleep at 9:00 PM.

Best to get silly at night, when it can lead to amorous adventures, or, failing that, sleep.

Re: A Pair Of Glasses And A Smile -

Having worked weekends for what seems like forever, I haven't had a chance to do a good proper morning drink in awhile. My preference is to wake up a bit late, go over to the local very dimly lit pub and drink caesars (do they have them in Britain or are guys all Bloody Mary fans?) w/ huevos rancheros and watch the much healthier girls with healthier living habits do their shopping.

I always thought mornings were made for drinking, evenings for marijuana. This might explain why I didn't find true happiness until I was self employed. If you get come off your liquor by 4 PM you can get a good workout in between. With that and limiting this morning/evening ritual to three or four days a week I have remained the very picture of health. Failing liver be damned.

I was in the military and a recovering alcoholic slipped me  a AA pamplet. I read the 10 warning signs and had a good laugh.

I came up with 12 myself without looking.

My current favourites are laphraiog and ban de Armanac, which is what my liquor cabinet (the shelf with my shoe boxes) has at the moment.

Very good.

A boozy brekkie isn't for everyday, I grant you. It does make a nice change though.
