^ A cheesy pic, but it really shows the fit - Especially at the neck where it matters most.
Yes.
One of mine must be 10 years old by now and it's still going strong. Neck keeps its shape until it frays. All hail the Beefy T.

Wow, I have been on a life long search for good white T shirts. Tried BB, LE, etc. with limited success. Usually have flimsy neck, or otherwise poorly made.
Based on your input, I located a net source (tshirtswebstore.com) with a tab of @$3.25 ea.
Sounds like a winner, many thanks!

the old Beefy T was a great shirt. A staple. I prefer the lighter shirt myself. Something thin. (Brooks now discontinued blue label Canadian make was really very good -- I liked it as more than Zimmerli and almost as much as Sunspel).
Recently bought a batch of Beefy Ts that were made in Honduras. And yes, you guessed it: the old quality is no more. After a few washes they're already losing their shape, and the neck is no longer "fitted".
I'm now wearing an old made in USA one and after 10 years of countless wears and washes it's still good... with the neck having that ever so slightly "mock turtle" shape to it. Amazing really.
Long shot - but does anyone know where we can still get fresh old stock?

Boo!
Another one bites the dust...
A nice cup of Beefy T with a Beefroll on the side to go!
Welcome aboard -
Best,
Jim
Don't like the mock turtle collar of the more modern Beefy-T or the overlocking on said collar.
The American Apparel basic cotton tee is a good product. They wash and last well and are cut on the trim lines I like in an undergarment.
I've been wearing Hanes Top-T's (lighter weight) recently and like the fit. The collar can't be high and close enough on T-shirts for me to keep the 'chest wig' under control
The mock-turtle type neck was a mid-80s innovation, along with wider, longer sleeves and a looser silhouette over all. A move from underwear to outerwear in keeping with the times I shouldn't think. The shirts from slightly before that time were really good, particularly those with a pocket to keep your snout in.
Wearing an AA white tee today with vintage Pendleton board shirt (burgundy and olive plaid), very baggy Korean War era khakis and vintage white Chuck Taylor's. No hairnet today.

Good prices on Hanes T's here:

They sell the Beefy and the Top T, my personal favourite.

The Top Ts I have were a great fit new, but the quality is middling at best and they tend to lose shape fast.
