Re: Ivy League style for today

must be tattersall season.

last night, on an evening jaunt to an art event at our wonderful country club plaza:

dark/light blue tattersall
navy merino v-neck
burgundy & blue thin repp tie (even though my jayhawks lost)
chinos from an expensive italian brand-thrifted for a song
vintage wingtips.
Gloverall Duffle

Awesome evening, lots of great "scenery". The ladies seem to love the plaza. Plus I *may* be having an influence on one friend, he actually wore a button up shirt. This would be a far cry from his standard of fleece pajama bottoms and black random band t-shirts.

Some people hate the English, I don't, they're just wankers. We, on the other hand, were colonized by wankers, Can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by...

Dour:

Charcoal Herringbone Tweed Sack. Brooks, as it happens. Can't see why they can't make them anymore.
Charcoal Smedley. Top button undone.
Charcoal Year-rounder wool flatfronts.
Charcoal socks.
Black Cayman IIs.

Each shade of Charcoal is different, which is interesting. The Smedley & the socks are the darkest, then the flatfronts. So by comparison the jacket looks much lighter.

No idea why I've dressed like this today. I'm feeling quite puckish.

Cheers Moose,

Although what I wore was arguably a touch boring?

I agree with our Uncle Colin -  Pure Still Life Ivy Art. Or whatever he said.

Seriously though, if I had to really break it down - that would resemble my Desert Island Diet right there.

Looking good Moose - I was considering some 'oatmeal kilt hose' myself, might go for a pair. They are knee high right?

Brown suede Irish made Clark's low top Wallabees
Charcoal socks
Levi's LVC 1955 jeans
Brown suede RL belt
White Hanes Beefy T
Multi coloured Sero long sleeve madras
Medium grey Uniqlo cashmere crew
Brown herringbone Brooks 346 jacket

One of my professional neighbours, not sure if it was Victor or Rolf, was eyeing me when we passed each other on the canal. Can't help wondering what the fashion professional thought. Perhaps it was just him being gay.
