The Tardis!
Feeling high as a kite wearing my first true Ivy get up : dark brown chukkas ( Boss ), tobacco socks (Burlington ) indigo 'contourfit' jeans ( Helmut Lang ), dark brown suede belt w/a silver buckle, cream/brown/green/maroon tattersall check shirt ( semi spread collar RL ), cotton/cashmere pistachio green high V-neck ( TH ) topped off by my 'new' brown/black herringbone tweed sack. Watch by Gant, fresh college-boy haircut
Looking good Alex. Are you out on the town with your new gear this evening? I'm off to a Glen Matlock gig. No doubt I'll be the only Ivy purveyor in attendance! Lol!

^Pretty good gig. Highlights for me were "Burning Sounds" and "Ghosts of Princes in Towers". I'm a bit of a perv for that Rich Kids album. Played a lot of stuff that he announced was new. Obligatory "GSTQ" & "Pretty Vacant". Nice version of SF's "Debris" too by way of tribute to Ronnie L. I shouted for "Only Arsenic" for the encore but he admitted that he'd forgotten how to play it! For the record I wore:
Old cream coloured windcheater - London Fog
Blue/white stripe seersucker button down - BB
Navy merino V neck - John Lewis
Dark grey flat front trousers - no cuff, no break
'Natural' suede dessies
Bumped into Matlock a couple of hours before the gig as he was sitting outside one of the good Italian cafes near the venue. A nice guy. Pretty cool tailored navy 3 button jacket he had too. Same couldn't be said for most of the audience. People thinking it's 1977 I can handle but this lot thought it was 1981. Not a good look even on Halloween!

saw some nice punk rock, too, last night:

Thee Vicars
I was wearing a white Brooks Brothers OCBD shirt, brown leather belt, tobacco suede chukka boots and a handmade Italian style charcoal brown custom suit with a three button box jacket, three on the cuff, slim but not skinny, very straight, almost no waist suppression, shortish but not a bumfreezer, one piece back, short side vents, jetted pockets, narrow flat fronted trousers, medium low rise, no break, 15" (!) bottoms...
that was my punk rock!
However, I finished my dj set with the Emyrean Isles album (the B-side)....

It's one of my fave LPs, but Herbie is still awesome. Will never miss a concert if he's around...
Staceyboy. Big Rich Kids fan myself. Worked with Rusty Egan for a while, nice guy and a brilliant drummer. They used to do a good version of Here come the Nice by the Small Faces and Holy Holy by Bowie. Great band.
^Nice one Brother B. A fellow Rich Kids fan. Almost shelled out good money recently for a Swedish copy of the album - unique in having a group photo sleeve rather than the regular artwork. Very little change out of a hundred quid. Financial common sense and 'advice' from girlfriend prevailed!
Wearing today:
Vintage navy BB Viyella BD with flap pocket over white Hanes Beefy T
Old Levi's 501's
Heavy brown leather belt
Indigo 3/2 Uniqlo coat
'Natural' suede dessies
Tootal cotton scarf in navy/brown abstract pattern
Staceyboy
Party time (Spring Carnival):
* black jeans
* white shirt
* black 12 year old Moreshci high fronted loafers (awesome pair)
Loud music all night long. l'm getting up to mischief tonight.

Blue socks

Looking out of place but feeling good
I've had the pleasure of meeting David Byrne a few times, which is killer as the Talking Heads were one of the first bands I got into as a kiddo in the 80s. Interesting note: whenever possible, he avoids taking cars to gigs, preferring a walk or bicycle ride. Doin what he can for the environment.
mandatory clothing content.....simple day....
burgundy pennys
navy socks
chinos leaning on the gold side of colour
white OCBD
Navy v-neck merino
seamaster
prescription aviators, as its finally a nice sunny day!
If someone at work saw you were taking a camera into the toilets, there would be a lot of explaining to do....
Presidential material right there.
