Just got some pairs of those. In white. I couldn't find the original 100% cotton with the seamlessly linked toe of old, but maybe they still make them. Got the model you cite above too.
Great socks.
Wigwam socks are great. I also like Smartwool and Fox River.
Royce was the name in J Simons back when the quality was better.
For those on the Western side of the Atlantic, I get Wigwam wool crew socks at my local Gander Mountain hunting and fishng store. Thye don't get all damp and clammy like cotton socks.

The socks Jesmond linked to are, I believe, quite thick -- something like ragg-wool weight. For casual wear, I like the classic cream-wool socks that were standard athletic wear in the fifties. Wigwam sells two models of these, the 132 and the 625. Still relatively easy to find.
I wouldn't do serious hiking in any of these, though.

Wearing Wigwam white #625 crew socks under my GBX boots today, and damn fine socks they are too.
Had to go down to customs to pick them up too. They (quite correctly) thought no-one in their right mind would order 'socks' from the USA, so it must have been a bag of drugs I was ordering.
