Always thought that pink shirts and grey/white harringbone jackets look nice (not sure if that shirt is indeed pink).
I think I wouldve opted for a heavier shoe rather than a beige suede dessie (whihc I usually place in a 'spring-summer' category - and for no specific reason really).
the shirt is actually a bit darker shade of red than pink, the colour is distorted somewhat.
you're quite right as for the shoes.. i would also have done so if the weather would have been even a bit warmer than -15°c. the dessies (actually portuguese high street copies / variations of the theme) are one of the few even remotely decent looking pairs where i'm able to squeeze in warm, thick wool socks to keep the cold at bay. unlike dessies, these chukkas have got leather lining inside so they are by deafault warmer than dessies.
