According to this website http://www.btinternet.com/~nsinbath/wallabee.htm the Wallabees are actually based on the German company Sioux's Grasshopper model, which has been relaunched:

Maybe! Still, I'm extremely jealous of your footwear collection...esp. the irish-made wallabee + the elephant scrotum hide florsheims...
Why cheers Eris. These things cost me hours and hours of relentless auction browsing, nothing to be jealous of if you ask me. I'm afraid I have 5 pairs of Irish Wallabees, I'm wearing them more than any other shoe.
A damn fine shoe and a bohemian classic. It's unfortunate that Clarks quality is so poor now.
You MUST hunt out the old Irish made pairs which will last a lifetime. I've even found a cobbler who can replace the crepe soles...

maybe if I chopped my toes off or took a hot shower? I hate my shoe size!
