Since we're on the subject, I have a Buffercoat story. About a year ago I popped a button off the coat... instead of sewing it back on right away I put it away in a safe place somewhere. When the weather got cooler in september, I searched the whole damn house for hours, turned every box and tin and drawer, but the missing button was nowhere to be found. I haven't worn the jacket all winter.

Then last week I decided to wear it regardless, missing button and all, when a second button popped off. This time, I decided to make a conscious mental note before I put it away in that little box, and while I was putting it there, lo and behold there was the other missing button.

^ Button one came off with a ripped leather loop. Thank fuck that didn't happen with button two. If you like I will post pics later.
