Well strangely some recent Lands End UK only shirts have had them along with button on back of collar - Moose put me onto them. Bought 3 as they seemed to have disappeared from Lands End US

Honest opinion?

I think there are two distinct types of suede chukka - the clarks model and its many worthy copiers particularly from spain and italy - two eyelet sloping top unstructured except for heel stiffener and the goodyear welted heavier lined models such as Church Ryder, etc.

To my mind there are a lot of neither fish nor fowl models around. The new Sebagos for example - very nicely made good shape but three eyelets - doesn't know whether it wants to be Clarks type or Goodyear type.

Not really my cup of desert brew that one Chris...
