Hooked vents are not a deal-breaker for me. Brooks tended not to incorporate this feature in much tailored clothing in the Golden Age, whereas it was something of a signature for Press and a few other merchants.

Went to the Cricket at the MCG. Tait was bowling them down the pitch at 100 mph and dominated. Australia won by a whisker.
Dark brown chukkas, dark plum socks, indigo 501's, matching suede belt, white Tee underneath a skyblue pinpoint OCBD and a dark red roundneck Smedley topped off by a Winter Harrington type coat in golden brown corduroy. Gant watch, college-boy haircut, scarf one side eggplant the other navy.
